Visit the National Archives – The Rotunda of the National Archives Building in downtown Washington, DC, displays the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.

Dinner at Tony & Joe’s – Enjoy an included dinner this evening at Tony & Joe’s, one of DC’s favorites.

Evening Illuminated Monuments & Memorials Tour – Following dinner, you will enjoy a guided illuminated Monuments Tour of the famous monuments and war memorials which may include: Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, WWII, Vietnam, and Iwo Jima.

DAY 3 – Wednesday, August 26 – The Smithsonian Museums
The morning will be dedicated to the museums of the Smithsonian. Travelers may decide which interests them the most and can visit the Air & Space, the American Indian, Natural History, American History, and more.

Arlington National Cemetery Tourmobile – The tour is a live-narrated, hop on/hop off tour, making several stops including: President John F. Kennedy gravesite, John J. Pershing gravesite, Memorial Amphitheater (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) and Arlington House.

Following dinner at a local restaurant, you will enjoy a second evening of a guided illuminated Monuments Tour of the famous Monuments and War Memorials in the DC area.

DAY 5 – Friday, August, 28 – National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
Today, you will tour The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is a Catholic Church dedicated to the patroness of our nation, is a place of worship, pilgrimage, evangelization, and reconciliation.

Tour the Franciscan Monastery – You will be lead through this national shrine that sustains an 800-year mission of the Franciscan Friars in the Holy Land by serving as a “little Jerusalem” in America.

Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens – The afternoon also features a tour of the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens. The mansion is the former home of cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post and features one of the most comprehensive collections of eighteenth-century and nineteenth-century Russian Imperial art outside of Russia.
